| We visited The Enchanted Wood with our just 3yrs grandaughter between Christmas and New Year. The lake was frozen and there was still plenty of snow - it was 'enchanting'- just one request. At the Spooky Gate entrance it described seeing, amongst other things, a witch, our grandaughter loves witches and when we reached the end wanted to know where the witch was. We tried suggesting she was hiding, then a distracting visit to the shop with no success.Grandad suggested asking the boy taking the tickets where we might have seen it - he told us it was the Snow Queen from Narnia and realising she wasn't too convinced asked her if she would like to go and look at it again! This we did and she still wasn't convinced.Perhaps next year you could include a traditional, pointed hat, broomstick carrying witch! Many thanks for what was otherwise a really lovely afternoon.

Visited the Enchanted Wood and the Snowflake Maze on New Year's Eve, 2009.
The Enchanted Wood is lovely but would be even better if the infrastructure (cables, pipes, etc) were more hidden. The Snowflake Maze was equally good and will be even better when it grows up/out a bit.
Be aware you can visit each of these once ONLY on your ticket. We consider this a bit tight, especially for the Maze.

We came to last Friday's Halloween woodland walk, it was fabulous! Our 4 and 5 Year old Children really enjoyed the lights and the extra touches you had added - the tree with the stairs and doorbell was a hit with Franki, and Saige thought the chimes to wake Aurora were magical! The actors were absolutely great too, really getting into character and making the experience enjoyable for young and old.
We have been visiting the venue for the last few years and must add that the food in year 1 was the best you have had, last year became a little commercialised and seemed to lose focus of what you had set out to achieve. I do hope that this year you will return to the home cooked food and move away from the dreadful'chicken nugget' food which you offered last year. My children have always been brought up on healthy eating and home cooked food which, up until last year we enjoyed with yourselves - please move back to these values! The only critisism we have for last Friday's event is that we had all travelled a long way (from all areas of Yorkshire)to meet after work and would have liked to have enjoyed a meal after the walk, but unfortunately this was not possible due to your reduced opening/serving times on that evening. Could you consider extending your opening hours when you hold these events to allow families to come together from further afield?
Overall a true achievement and we look forward to this weeks Firework spectacular!

| Visited Stockeld Park Christmas Adventure on Sunday, 07 December and really enjoyed our day. The enchanted wood was magical for adults as well as our son aged 3. Would be even better if visited in the evening as figures are lit up. My son can't wait to visit next year as he will be 4 and be able to go skating.

| Just back from a great day. Visited with my 10 year old son. It was magical we enjoyed skating, ski-ing and the maze. The place comes to life at dusk when the lights come on. Will definitely recommend to friends.

Visited on Fri 21st November 2008 What a Wonderful Winter Wonderland! For all the family, it's magical for the children and fun for the grown ups too! I would really recommend going in the dark. We arrived at 5pm and after a couple of hours skiing, running round the maze we were ready for something warm to eat and drink, so we headed to the cafe and received a warm welcome and some great food! All the staff are very friendly and will go that extra mile to provide a good customer service!! Highly Recommended!!!

| A wonderland for children. The maze was very good. We all enjoyed the Enchanted wood although it was daylight when we visited. Our party was from ages 2 to 66 and all enjoyed it. Be warned though that if your 2 year old runs through at lightening speed as all small children do you cannot go around again.
